Fahrenheit 9/11

I don’t go to the movies often, but I felt that there was enough talk about Fahrenheit 9/11 that I should be properly informed. Before the movie, I had mixed feelings on Micheal Moore; I absolutely hated his book (it simply only told half the story), but I really liked Bowling for Columbine. In his book, you can see that Micheal Moore is really an over-the-top idelist that makes the facts fit his preconcieved thoughts. But Bolwing for Columbine was a poinent, extremely honest exporation of a contraveial subjuct. Fahrenheit 9/11 was 75% like the book and 25% like his previous movie. It completely lacked the sense of honestly, seriosness, and thoughfulness of Bowling for Columbine, but nevertheless did provide some very insightful information. Additionally, focusing on the Saudi/Bush connection did not have much of a point. There is as much prove that the Saudi government was involved in 9/11 as leaders from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Indoneisa or any other country that doesn’t really care if there are terrorist in their country or not. I repeat, there is no prove of a connection. And since there are a million things that Bush did that were horrible that we do have prove of, why concentrate on some conspiracy thoery. Which comes to question, what is the point of the movie? I expected it to be an honest look at what Bush, how he made dicisions based on ideology and not facts, and to highlight the enormity of the problems that his decisions have caused. However, it seemed like it was just a rallying cry for liberals and bush-haters to hate him more. True, some undecided voters might see this and realize what Bush has done (which is a great contribution of the movie); however, I feel they will also think that the movie purposely took comments out of context and did not provide all the infomration. An honest movie (which may have shown some good things about Bush (if they exist)) would have been much more convincing. Any Comments? Any undecided voters out there? Does Anyone know where I can get a copy of My Pet Goat, maybe it was really that good.
