Bush's Plan in Iraq

There is no direction that the posts of this board will have, except to say that they are all moving forward. Many, such as today's post, will relate to the world as I see. To be sure, I am not objective in the classical sense, however, I will only speak the truth.

Last night as I watched George Bush lay out his plan for the future of Iraq I began to read between the lines. He said "Iraqis will write their own history, and find their own way." This hit a chord and I think I’ve figured out his actual plan. Here is it...

Starting in July, he is going to remove 10,000 troops every month (or whatever number so that there are only 10,000 troops in total in Iraq by November). 0f the 10,000 who remain, half of them will be there to protect the new government and the other half will be running around the country finding “evil doers” and preventing/delaying civil war. Bush will claim victory and say that they war was over. He will say that the new government has some problems but it's better than Saddam. He will say that if Kerry was president than Saddam would still be there (which is true). Now you may think that the American people may care about what happens to the Iraqi people once we pull out, well the truth is that we didn’t care what happened to the Afghani people when we left, so why would they care about the Iraqi. Currently Afghanistan is a disaster, warlords or the Taliban control about 3/4 of the country and they have become the biggest producer of opium in the world.

The only problem would be if a relative of Saddam tried to start a civil war. Sad'r Is not seen as a real threat, however a Hessian (or a Bin Laden) would.

What could Kerry do if this was the case? He would have nothing left to fight on. Ok, he'll have the economy and civil rights and all that, but could it be enough?

Question of the Day: What would happen in the Iraqi people democratically elect radical Muslim leaders to run the new country. Would the US still support the new “democratic” government?

I have often pondered this myself. I think that would be a giant problem also. I think, although obviously am not sure, that we have some sort of behind the scenes conspiracy working to prevent that very thing from happening. To get the right person in there that will be good for us relations. But I think the problem now is becoming that the new person who is being favored gets killed every week and there is even more disruption going on in the country everyday. I think unforunately we are going to get to the ponit of just giving up and saying forget it we are leaving no matter who is in charge just let us get the hell out of this damned place!!! Great....and why did we go there in the first place? Gas is definately more expensive now (all time high), and now there is a whole country pissed at us for screwing everything up. Way to go Dublya
