Contest #1 - Public On-line Vote

I have engineered an online voting system to decide the winners of the first ever Dan Lipka Blog contest. As a reminder, the contest to was “Explain the current state of the entire world in 12 words or less.”

The rules of the election are similar to the American voting system, meaning that the most votes win, unless I (acting as the Supreme Court) decide to change the results for political reasons beyond anyone’s understanding. Barring that, I will publish the results when I feel than no one else is going to vote.

The Constitution and Justice

When the Supreme Court rules, they often struggle to understand the depth and meanings in some of the words or phrases in the Constitution. However, the Founders provided very clear language as to what they were trying to accomplish from a vision standpoint. Although not the law, the Preamble provides critical guidance that should be the first reference for any court ruling.
